Well hello & I'm glad you found me.
I'll begin straight away by saying this website malarky is my mother's idea. I think she got bored waiting for me to become the next Brad Pitt & decided to take matters into her own hands. If it works, I'll be chuffed to the gutties - if not, I'm pinching her bus pass.
I suspect you'll have gathered my name is Ciaran McCombie. Born in 1998, I became a regular Rocky Horror Shadow Cast kid pretty much as soon as the tailcoats fitted. I've been brought up with an open mind, huge passion for film, theatre & everything that comes with it (plus a nerdy love of all things steampunk).
Feel free to skip past the beautifully crafted back history & just read the bulleted version or grab a cuppa, a choccie biscuit & we'll carry on with the directors cut...
Bullet Points
Ok! In 2016 I fell asleep on a bus to Glasgow & stumbled onto the set of Outlaw King (I'm kidding). I hit the end of a *very* long queue & got chatting with other fab folks, only to be pulled up front five minutes later. I was an extra!
Outlaw King was my first film & it included the immeasurable experience of a weekend fight training with Combat International. I was blown away to work twenty-eight days / nights & proudly own the T-Shirt to prove it. Galavanting in Scotland's freezing wet mud at 4am, wearing a sodden wool gambeson & leaky boots alongside those of an equally bonkers nature obviously suited me -
I've since been proud to work on Robert The Bruce, Rise of The Clans, Blood of the Clans, Outlander, The Spanish Princess & CBeebies Molly & Mack. Pre Covid, I began classes with Historical European Martial Arts & was told I'm a quick study.
While I wouldn't call myself the next 'whisperer' having been brought up with horses I know which end you stick a headcollar on. Additionally since birth I've been slobbered on by very large dogs - everything in our house comes with a side of genuine wolfdog fluff.
During Covid I adhered to all Scottish Government guidelines & as restrictions lift I'm looking to expand my skill set, embrace new opportunities & get back into character!
Having read this far you'll know I'd love to hear from you - many thanks! .
